Krishna is the eighth of the Dashavataras and complete incarnation of Vedic Supreme God Vishnu. Hence, he is often termed as svayam bhagavan. Numerous alternative names or titles are applied to Krishna, most of them have been taken from Vishnu Sahasranama (which conversely lists Krishna as the 57th name of Vishnu).
