Narechen (Bulgarian: Наречен) is a village in the Plovdiv Province, central Bulgaria. As of 2006[update] it has 924 inhabitants. It is set amid pine forest on the Assenitsa river in the Rhodopean mountain. The village is notable for its hypothermal mineral springs which have transformed it into an important spa resort.
Narechen Glacier on Alexander Island in Antarctica is named after Narechen.[1]
