Natas (Nation Ahead of Time and Space) is an American hip hop group from Detroit, Michigan. The group comprises Esham, TNT, and Mastamind. Natas performs a style that it refers to as acid rap and is known for its dark, violent lyrics and rock-based sound.[1] Esham met Mastamind as a student at Osborne High School, who gave him a three-song demo tape of his music, leading the two to form the group with Esham's longtime friend, TNT, deciding on the name Natas as a symbol of their disposition at the time and released their first album, Life After Death on Esham's Reel Life Productions label in 1992.[2]
