[edit] Life

Born in Oahu, Hawaii,[2] Thorn is half Japanese, a quarter Puerto Rican, and a quarter Hawaiian.[1] Her mother works as a secretary, and her father is in the construction business.[1] Thorn revealed that she lost her virginity at the age of fourteen.[3] Growing up in Hawaii, her first job was working in promotion and marketing person for a record company at age fourteen.[4] At sixteen, she relocated to California with her cousin Chris Sampaio after saving up money for it.[5] She later said regarding the move "when I was a little kid, I already knew I wanted to be a stripper."[2] In an interview in August 2008, Thorn mentioned that although she grew up eating meat (and asking her mom to send her Spam after Thorn moved to the mainland) she is now a vegetarian.[6]

[edit] Career

After she turned eighteen, she began working as a stripper, then went from dancing to nude modeling, followed by masturbation scenes and later hardcore sex.[3]

For her first year of filming, she shot just fellatio and girl-girl scenes, with an eye towards prolonging her career.[7] When she did start filming boy-girl scenes, she worked an aggressive schedule of film bookings, working every day. She says about that pace "it just killed me" and that she "kept on getting torn and yeast infections."[4] She had her blood tested twice a month instead of once monthly.[8] She now limits herself to just five or six shoots a month.[4]

Thorn was a cast member of the Fox Network reality TV show My Bare Lady. She was also briefly featured as a lap dancer in the 2007 feature film comedy, Knocked Up.[9]
