The Nazarian family is a prominent Iranian Jewish family, originating from Iran, and living in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, United States, as well as in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Nazarian Enterprises[edit]

Nazarian Enterprises is the family office established by Younes and David Nazarian to diversify and manage the capital of the Nazarian family. The Nazarian family was one of the lead investors in company that was the dominant provider of satellite based tracking systems for the transportation industry, which merged with Qualcomm, Inc in 1988. As a result, the Nazarians were a major shareholder in Qualcomm and were active in the development and management of Qualcomm through its IPO.

Nazarian Enterprises has a consistent track record of being at the forefront of identifying investment opportunities and effectively managing those investments across a diverse range of investment classes. Nazarian Enterprises utilizes its investment acumen and the insights gained from these experiences in a broad range of investing and philanthropic activities.[1]

Nimes Capital[edit]

Nimes Capital is the private investment arm of Nazarian Enterprises concentrating in investments in alternative asset classes. Led by David Nazarian, the Nimes Capital team has invested in, operated and/or overseen numerous investments across a broad spectrum of industries, which a current focus on real estate investments and direct investments in operating companies. Nimes Real Estate is focused on achieving superior risk-adjusted returns through direct investment into properties, programmatic joint ventures, and direct investment in real estate operating compaines. Nimes Capital seeks to acquire or invest directly in operating businesses led by strong management teams, with stable historical performance and solid future growth prospects. Nimes is an active investor that expects to assist with the growth and success of its partners. Additionally, Nimes builds long-term relationships with individuals and organizations that welcome the added value of its hands-on approach and that shares its values of mutual respect, honesty and corporate citizenship.[2]

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is named after him. Among other academic degrees, David Nazarian earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from CSUN in 1982.

Y&S Nazarian Family Foundation[edit]

The Y&S Nazarian Family Foundation, founded by Younes and Soraya Nazarian with headquarters in Los Angeles, California, is the philanthropic foundation of the family dedicated to the promotion of education for societal change. The Foundation supports educational causes in a broad spectrum of institutions and through a wide variety of avenues - academic, public policy, community based social and artistic programs.[3]

The Ima Foundation[edit]

The Ima Foundation, based in Tel Aviv, Israel, serves as the regional office of the Y&S Nazarian Family Foundation. The Ima Foundation's efforts are focused exclusively on Israel. The Foundation aims to support Israel's people by investing in their future. Education is seen as the most important vehicle to narrow Israel's social and economic gaps.

The family is considered to be one of the richest Mizrahi Jewish families in the world, worth in excess of $2 billion.[4]
