The city's Neighborhood & Community Services Department maintains an official registry[1] of organized "neighborhood associations", which overlap in many cases.

Kansas City has nearly 240 neighborhoods.[2]

Overview[edit]

Kansas City, Missouri has several neighborhoods including downtown, the River Market, the Crossroads, the Plaza, Westport, the new Power and Light District, and several suburbs. Boston Heights and Mount Hope n.a. are both located in Midtown Kansas City
