NetCracker Technology is company in Waltham, Massachusetts that provides Operations Support System (OSS) to Communications Service Providers (CSPs). NetCracker’s OSS can be used to deploy new infrastructure and services, reduce service delivery costs, manage Network and IT resources, and track telecom assets. Customers have used NetCracker to deploy a range of infrastructure technologies including IP, 3G, and SONET/SDH, as well as services such as IPTV, WiMAX, and VoIP.
NetCracker was founded in 1993 and has over 1000 employees in offices around the world. In October 2008, NEC Corporation acquired NetCracker Technology[1]. NetCracker now operates as an independent business in NEC’s Communications Service Provider software business.
In June 2007, the NetCracker Solution Delivery Division’s implementation methodology received the CMMI Software Engineering Maturity Level 3 rating. CMMI is an internationally recognized measure of an organization’s process management maturity.
