The Netherlands Indian roepiah was the currency issued by the Japanese occupiers in the Netherlands Indies between 1944 and 1945. It was subdivided into 100 sen and replaced the gulden at par.

Note: since "oe" in Dutch is pronounced as "u" in English, the currency's name should be pronounced as if it were written "rupiah".
