New Jersey's 13 congressional districts, shaded according to representative party. In the 2010 elections, Republican Jon Runyan picked up the 3rd district from Democrat John Adler, who had held the seat for two years.

There are currently thirteen United States congressional districts in New Jersey based on results from the 2000 census. There were once as many as fifteen. The fifteenth district was lost after the 1980 census and the fourteenth district was lost after the 1990 census. As a result of the 2010 census, one additional seat will be lost, reducing New Jersey's representation to 12 seats.[1]

In the 112th Congress, Democrats hold seven seats and Republicans hold six seats, representing New Jersey in the United States House of Representatives.
