Nicholas James "Nick" Benson (born June 8, 1994) is an American teen actor. His first major role was Derrick Westerly on The WB Television Network show Summerland. He later starred as Rick Thompson on the CBS TV show Swingtown. He was a special Guest Star on the show True Jackson VP show as the school bully in the episode called "Ditch Day". Most recently (2011), he starred in the Nickelodeon TV Movie Best Player as Sheldon.

Benson was born in Springfield, Missouri. He has two older brothers, Dan Benson and Michael Benson. His brother Dan Benson is also an actor and plays Zeke - a reoccurring guest star role on Disney's Wizard's of Waverly Place. Nick began his acting career in 2001 after moving to Florida. He attends Stanford Online High school as a senior. He is also a classical pianist, composer and accomplished student. He is the son of Jim and Marilee Benson.
