Nick Niedert (born June 16, 1982 in Hudson, Iowa) is an American professional ice hockey goaltender formerly of the Jersey Rockhoppers in the Eastern Professional Hockey League (EPHL). He most recently played for the Flint Generals of the International Hockey League (IHL).[1] In 2008 Niedert was invited to the ECHL's Reading Royals' training camp as a "walk-on".[2] Niedert was released by the team but re-signed for one game as an emergency back-up goaltender.[3] Nick is now the starting goaltender for the Danbury Whalers in Danbury, Connecticut.
