The Dutch version of Nickelodeon, seen in the Netherlands and Flanders, launched on September 1, 2002.
Nickelodeon is on air 24 hours a day CET (UTC+1). In addition to the general Nickelodeon fare found worldwide, local productions such as ZOOP, Het Huis Anubis (is getting international versions), Het Huis Anubis en de Vijf van het Magische Zwaard and SuperNick are also broadcast. The Dutch Kids' Choice Awards were also presented in 2004, 2005 and 2007, featuring nominees that are relevant to Dutch audiences. In 2010 the American Kids' Choice Awards aired with some new categories for the Netherlands and Flanders.

Nick replaced a similar-themed channel, Kindernet after the channel was acquired by Viacom in 2002.

Nickelodeon Nederland is also available on cable in Flanders. The only noticeable difference were the ads being shown but since mid 2009 Nickelodeon has aired some other programs in Flanders than in the Netherlands. All Belgian providers are broadcasting the Flemish version, only the satellite providers (TV Vlaanderen Digitaal & Mobistar) are broadcasting the Dutch version because that is the only version on the Astra 1L satellite. TV Vlaanderen is the only Flemish provider where Nickelodeon is airing 24 hours a day. All the other providers are broadcasting Nickelodeon from 5am to 20pm until 3 October 2011. On 4 October 2011 will the Flemish send 24 hours in a day.

A High-Definition Simulcast is set to start towards the end of 2011.
