[edit] Fictional character biography
Nimrod was a former soldier appointed by Varnae to be the lord of Earth's vampires, and was granted the ability to control other vampires mentally. Nimrod captured Dracula on the night Dracula first became a vampire, and forced Dracula to submit to him. Dracula challenged Nimrod to a battle with wooden stakes. As Varnae predicted, and anticipated, Dracula slew Nimrod in the duel, and succeeded him as the new lord of Earth's vampires.[volume & issue needed]
