Nissan Pavilion at Stone Ridge or Nissan Pavilion in Bristow, Virginia, is an outdoor live performance amphitheatre in suburban Prince William County, about 35 miles west of Washington, DC. Owned and operated by Live Nation, the Pavilion can seat 25,000, making it the largest music-oriented venue in the Washington Metropolitan Area.
Nissan Pavilion opened in 1995 with a performance by The Village People. Since then, the Pavilion has hosted a wide range of musical acts every summer, including Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, Tina Turner, Shania Twain, Radiohead, Coldplay, Celine Dion, Rush, James Taylor, Stevie Nicks, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Nine Inch Nails, Aerosmith, Spice Girls, Godsmack, 311, Linkin Park, Poison, Sting, KISS, Ted Nugent, Steely Dan, Toby Keith, Def Leppard, The Who, Roger Waters of Pink Floyd, the Vans Warped Tour and Ozzfest. Since 1995, The Allman Brothers Band, Brooks & Dunn, Jimmy Buffett, and Dave Matthews Band have played annually. Nissan Pavilion also annually holds WMZQfest in May.
Some high schools in Prince William County and Fauquier County hold their graduation ceremonies at Nissan Pavilion in June.
President Barack Obama held a rally for his 2008 Presidential campaign here on June 5, 2008.[1].
Nissan Pavilion is located on SR 674, Wellington Road.
