Nokia phone series
Nokia's nomenclature can be traced back in 2005, when the Nseries line was introduced.[1] Because of the demands and peak of that line, Nokia again introduced another series of phones named Eseries,[2] made mostly for the enterprise market and to compete with Palm and BlackBerry.[3] In 2009, Nokia dropped their four-number naming scheme[4] and focused on their two existing lines, with additional two introduced during Nokia World[5] being the Xseries which is for entertainment and music enthusiasts,[6] while Cseries is what Nokia considers their "core" range of products.[7] A Chinese-exclusive range of devices named Tseries was introduced on 13 June 2011.[8] Two more series were introduced at Nokia World 2011 Asha which means "hope" and Lumia which means "light."[9][10] Other series of phones include the N-Gage,[11] XpressMusic,[12] Navigator series, Prism,[13] Supernova[14] and the fashion-oriented Distinctly Bold[15] and L'Amour Collection.[16]

Nokia Nseries is a product family composed exclusively of smartphones and Internet tablets. Mobile devices included in the series include digital multimedia services and other advanced features. The company's flagship products come from this series, and this is where most of Nokia Research Center's technologies and innovations are applied.[17]
- Nokia N70[18] is one of the first products successfully launched from the series. It has introduced a sliding camera cover on its rear view, protecting the lens and triggers the camera feature when opened, which was later used in other phones created by Nokia.[19] High resolution 2-megapixel camera with video capture, Bluetooth, FM radio, RealPlayer media viewing and support for WAP 2.0 are also the notable features offered by this device.[20]
- Nokia N71[21] is a phone in clamshell form factor,[22] mostly recommended for consumers who search for enhanced ergonomics due to its button arrangement.[23] It supports SMS, MMS, voice and video calling, Internet browsing, Bluetooth wireless technology, among many other features. Like the Nokia N70, it has a 2-megapixel camera.[24] To connect with PC, it uses the proprietary Pop-Port medium.
- Nokia N72[25] is a stylish Nseries device that comes in two designs: gloss black[26] and pearl pink.[27] It only runs through the GSM network, and has no front-facing camera.[28] The device takes from Nokia N70's design cues.
- Nokia N73[29] is one of the range's best-selling smartphones.[30] Apart from the more compact design, it also has improved its camera compared to the Nokia N72, packing 3.2-megapixels with Carl Zeiss lens.[31] It is capable of video calling, and was the first device to be termed the "multimedia computer."[32] The camera is praised for taking sharp, clear and crisp photos even in dark lighting conditions.[33]
