Notleys Landing (also, Notley's Landing) is an unincorporated community in the Big Sur region of Monterey County, California.[1] It is located near the mouth of the Palo Colorado Canyon 6.5 miles (10 km) north of Point Sur,[2] at an elevation of 112 feet (34 m).[1]

Godfrey Notley built a landing for shipment of lumber at the place, and a settlement began.[2] The shipping was at its height from 1898 to 1907.[2]


At the county level, Notleys Landing is represented on the Monterey County Board of Supervisors by Supervisor Dave Potter .[3] In the California State Assembly, Notleys Landing is represented by Bill Monning as part of the 27th Assembly district.[4] In the State Senate, Notleys Landing is represented by Sam Blakeslee as part of the 15th State Senate district.[5]

In the United States House of Representatives, Notleys Landing is in California's 20th congressional district, represented by Democrat Sam Farr[6]
