nuBuilder000 is a RAD tool for creating web-based Back Office Applications.
The nuBuilder platform is an open source PHP/MySQL/Javascript database development tool which stores forms, reports, company data and any custom code in MySQL and displays the content dynamically in a web-browser.[1] This allows both the development interface, and the user interface to be built through the nuBuilder environment. nuBuilder uses the 2 screen model[2] to provide an intuitive and flexible front-end for users and developers.
[edit] History of nuBuilder
nuSoftware originally started out as a custom database development company in 1992, mainly using Microsoft tools to manage client's databases, and created nuBuilder as a tool to produce custom business applications in 2003[3] based on a philosophy that arose from the shortcomings of producing custom applications. It was used to produce customised web database applications faster than starting from scratch or from templates.
With the success and maturity of nuBuilder as a rapid application development environment, and the increasing speed and capacity of the internet making web based applications a viable option, nuSoftware decided in early 2009 to release nuBuilder under the GPLv3 Open Source licence model to give developers and companies around the world an environment to work in, and to allow public input into the future evolution of nuBuilder.
