An oceanway is a foreshoreway (a greenway trail) that provides sustainable public access along an oceanfront. An oceanway resembles a boardwalk. The term oceanway is used in Australia.[1] The term is used to avoid the suggestion that the route favours either pedestrians (footpath) or cyclists (bikeway).
