The old Globe and Mail building, a once-impressive example of streamlined modern building at 40 King Street West, Toronto. Built in 1937 and demolished in 1974. The current G&M is located on Front Street and Spadina Avenue. The main door was retained and installed at the Globe and Mail's current home on Front Street.
The street address once occupied by the original Globe and Mail Building is now home to Scotia Plaza, the second-largest office building in Canada and the 65th largest in the world.
