The old Globe and Mail building, a once-impressive example of streamlined modern building at 40 King Street West, Toronto. Built in 1937 and demolished in 1974. The current G&M is located on Front Street and Spadina Avenue.

The street address once occupied by the original Globe and Mail Building is now home to Scotia Plaza, the second-largest office building in Canada and the 65th largest in the world.
