[edit] Career
Delobel and Schoenfelder have been skating together since 1990 and have competed internationally as seniors since the 1996-7 season. They won their first Grand Prix medal at the 1999 Skate Canada and their first national championship in the 2002-3 season. They finished 4th at the 2006 Olympics, less than two points behind the bronze medalists.[1] The following season, they won their only European title.
Delobel and Schoenfelder won the World Figure Skating Championship in Gothenburg, Sweden on March 21 2008.[2] They began the 2008-9 season with wins in all three Grand Prix appearances: at Skate America, at the Trophee Eric Bompard, and at the Grand Prix Final. During their gala exhibition performance at the Grand Prix Final, Delobel suffered a shoulder injury and had to undergo surgery, causing them to miss the remainder of the season. They intend return in the 2009-2010 season and compete at the Vancouver Olympics.[3]
[edit] Family
Schoenfelder married Isabelle Pecheur in 2005. The couple have a son, Gabriel, who was born in October 2006.[4]
