Harry A. Burke High School is a secondary school located in Omaha, Nebraska. It is the most recently built public high school in the Omaha Public Schools system. As of 2008[update] the principal is Dr. Deborah Frison. [1] The school's mascot is the Bulldogs.
Each year in May, the Nebraska State Track Meet is held at the school, with thousands of people present to watch and to compete. The stadium was also renovated and completed in 2008, by the time the Nebraska State Track Meet was held.
Famous alumni
- Craig Anton, star of the TV show Phil of the Future
- Barney Cotton, Offensive Line Coach for the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team
Burke High Show Choir
Known to the school as "Ensemble", this show choir is Directed by Merlin Lempke and accompanied by Victory Sedlacek. This show choir is known as one of the best in the Omaha area, but rarely competes.
