Ongudai is a settlement in the Altai Republic in the Russian Federation. It is the center for the Ongudaysky District. It was founded in the year 1626.
The settlement resides on the river Ursul and is 210 kilometers from the republic center Gorno-Altaysk.
The 2002 census states 5,400 residents, mainly Altay people and Russians.
