Eleotris sandwicensis, commonly known as the Sandwich Island Sleeper or Hawaiian Sleeper, is a species of fish in the Eleotridae family. It is endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. In the Hawaiian language, the fish is also known as oʻopu, ʻoau, ʻowau, and hiʻu kole. Though not often known this freshwater fish or fauna as it is preferred, is quite an interesting species based in prehistoric times as geologists have discovered. Not much is aptly known except for it's expanding colors and it's small size. Truelly a tragedy to be stopped at such an early year, this page on 2007 by current people writing down,as if authors, and not placing more to be known.
