Ouwerkerk (51°38′N 3°59′E / 51.633°N 3.983°E / 51.633; 3.983) is a town in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is a part of the municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland, and lies about 26 km south of Hellevoetsluis. Ouwerkerk has also been known as Overkirk in British English, and as Auverquerque in French.

Ouwerkerk was a separate municipality until 1961, when it was merged with Duiveland.[1]

In 2001, the town of Ouwerkerk had 454 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.15 km², and contained 202 residences.[2] The statistical area "Ouwerkerk", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 690.[3]
