[edit] Avid Merrion
Avid Merrion is the main protagonist of the series. He is most famously known from the British television comedy sketch show, Bo' Selecta! as a Celebrity Stalker. Born in the small town of Arachnipus near Transylvania, Romania to a father who was a Dracula impersonator that stripped, Avid grew up to be the "number one super fan, here in the world". He came to Paris, France, because of "something to do with the police".
Avid lived in his London flat for a long time with his dead mother slouched in one cupboard and Craig Phillips from TV's Big Brother chained up in another.
Avid's other only friend was Ozzey, a refugee, who used to operate a T-Shirt printing business in the flat beneath Avid's. Avid claims, "I don't know what he is!".
With his slurred and broken English, ginger mullet, peculiar sexual fetishes, and obsession with showbiz figureheads, Avid made one scary stalker of celebrities.
Avid famously wears a neck brace, due to an encounter with Liza Tarbuck.
Avid spends most of his time harassing celebrities at functions such as book signings or movie premiers. He doesn't see it as harassment though but rather affectionate worship. Due to his hanging around at these events, he became noticed by the media during the third series of Big Brother on Channel 4 after he repeatedly attempted to break into the house to get closer to his television heroes.
After this, he was allowed to play his own part in the comedy series Bo' Selecta!. By the third series of this show, his newly elevated status in pop culture allowed him to talk one-on-one with celebrities rather than stalking them so his spots on Bo' Selecta! were transformed into his own chat show.
Avid has appeared on many other TV shows including Big Brother's Little Brother and Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.

The Bear (or known simply as "Bear") is a rather rude teddy bear. He originated from the adult sitcom, Bo' Selecta!. He then went on to have his own show called A Bear's Tail, which came from the Christmas pilot. He is a teddy bear, who always wears black glasses. It is also revealed in one episode that the Bear hates Christmas. The Bear also curses a lot. He dislikes his friend, Steven the Squirrel. He also likes berries. Since the end of A Bear's Tail, the Bear has featured in Bo' in the USA. He is played by Leigh Francis.

[edit] Keith Lemon
Keith Ian Lemon, played by Leigh Francis, is a recurring character in Bo' Selecta! and guest starred in the spin-off series A Bear's Tail. He now has his own show "Keith Lemon's Very Brilliant World Tour" on ITV2 and is currently promoting Tacheback, the Everyman campaign to raise awareness for male cancers.[1]
Keith Lemon is a failed business man who was most successful in 1993 according to an episode of A Bear's Tail.
Keith first appeared as an 'Easter Egg' for the DVD of the first series of Bo' Selecta! It was a short mockumentary in which Keith tries to "Teach blokes out there, who can't get a bird, how to get a bird, or in other words, go Two's on a bastard". In the end, his plan failed, and he blamed Tess Daly (his date), saying that she was a lesbian. Keith was not seen in the second series, but he made a re-appearance in the third series of Bo' Selecta! when Avid Merrion got his own talk show and needed an agent. Keith's face was never seen because Avid wanted him to be like "that guy out of Home Improvement, him who looks through the fence whose face you never see".
Keith once again showed his face in A Bear's Tail, the spin-off of Bo' Selecta starring The Bear. Mrs. Hennerson, who adopted the Bear was constantly irritated by Keith who fancied her. Mrs. Hennerson's husband did not appear in the series, but she did have a boyfriend called Richard Head. Richard didn't like Keith and felt him as a threat. Keith also took a liking to Mrs. Hennerson's daughter, Lillian.
In Bo! in the USA Keith stayed at the Merrion Hotel and constantly tries to impress female celebrities staying there. He also tried to get the Italian Fashion Model Fabio Lanzoni to help him advertise his new market idea, securipole, to try and bring himself back in business.
Keith recently grew his hair, it has been left grown for the rest of Bo! in the USA.
Keith presented Big Brother's Big Mouth from 19 June to 22 June. Keith was also one of the Hijackers in Big Brother Celebrity Hijack in 2008.
Keith Lemon's Very Brilliant World Tour
On Tuesday 11 March 2008 his new series Keith Lemon's Very Brilliant World Tour premiered on ITV2 at 10pm, it featured celebrity guests Mel B and Mel C from the Spice Girls and also comedian Patrick McGuinness. The premier attracted 365,000 viewers and a 2.2% multichannel share over 30 minutes from 10pm.

Ozzey (or Ozzy) is a recurring character played by Ozzy Rezat. Ozzey was Avid Merrion's gay landlord. He used to make t-shirts for Avid downstairs, but after Avid got a talk show Ozzey was made part of the wardrobe department.
Ozzey was a refugee who escaped to England for an unknown reason. In the first episode of series three he accidentally said it out loud and was told off by Avid.
When Avid would say television has changed, Ozzey would say blank, which would immediately cut to an impersonation of Blankety Blank. All the contestants would be gay celebrities, such as Elton John, Boy George and George Michael.
After Bo' Selecta! ended and The Bear got his own show, A Bear's Tail, Ozzey had moved in with Sue Dales and Dave Ian McCall. When Bo' Selecta! returned as a new form, Bo! in the USA, Ozzey was not shown.
[edit] Sacha Merrion
Sacha Merrion is the wife and sister of Avid Merrion; she first appeared as a guest star on A Bear's Tail as a co-host of Avid's talk show. For Bo! in the USA Sacha and Avid run a hotel which is currently home to various celebrities such as Craig David and even the Bear.
In the third episode of Bo! in the USA it was revealed that Avid did not seem to be as romantic as before and she seems to take a liking to the half-wolf half-man head cleaner Ralph at her and Avid's hotel the Merrion Hotel. In a recent episode she went behind Avid's back with Ralph but was caught. After dating she apologised to Avid, and he then admitted he had been stalking a female celebrity.
The character will next appear in a BBC Radio 2 pilot titled Sasha's Best of British which was broadcast on 12 May 2007.[citation needed]
