Palm Beach Zoo is a 23-acre (9.3 ha) zoo located in Dreher Park, West Palm Beach, Florida. It is a non-profit zoological organization, housing over 1,700 animals within 23 acres (9.3 ha) of lush tropical habitat. It also contains an aquarium. The zoo is a member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.[2]

The zoo hosts 1,700+ different animals, many of whom are endangered. Some of the zoo's most popular wildlife include eagles, jaguars, panthers, black bears, river otters, tigers, and alligators.

The 37 million dollar redevelopment of Palm beach zoo including the fountain pioneer house, restaurant, otter, fountain, and the Tropics of America Project were led by the Redevelopment director Bob Dalton.[citation needed]
