Pamela Fryman is an American sitcom director and producer.

Fryman grew up in Philadelphia. Her father worked in merchandising.[1]

Fryman got her first job on The John Davidson Show as an assistant to the talent coordinator, and went on to be a booth production assistant and secretary on Santa Barbara, eventually moving up to Assistant Director (AD), and director.[1]

She has directed episodes of series including Two and a Half Men, How I Met Your Mother, Friends, Frasier, Accidentally on Purpose, Just Shoot Me and a range of other television series. She has also worked as a producer for Just Shoot Me and How I Met Your Mother.

Fryman directed the majority of the episodes of How I Met Your Mother, having directed 140 of the first 150 episodes.[2] Show creator Craig Thomas praised her communication skills, saying, "She makes everyone feel they've been heard and respected and she can connect with anyone."[3]

Fryman is a mother of twin girls.[3]

She has also been known to be quite fond of the catch-phrase "moo moo".[citation needed]

Fryman has won two Daytime Emmys, both for her work on Santa Barbara in 1990 and 1991, and has been nominated for four DGA awards, three for her directing of Frasier and one for Just Shoot Me.[1]
