Toronto Varsity Blues
The Pan Am / Parapan Am Fields is a field hockey facility built for Toronto for the 2015 Pan American Games. It was completed in 2014, one year before the games are scheduled to start. The stadium is planned for 2,000 seats, all of which will consist of temporary seating for the games, and was built on the existing back campus grass rugby pitch between University College and Hoskins Avenue on the St. George Campus of University of Toronto.
The facility cost $9.5 million, which includes $6.25 million to build and finance the project. "The remainder is comprised of [sic] capital expenditures for equipment, transaction fees, project management and other ancillary costs". Construction began in July 2013.
The facility consists of two Global Class 1 fields. One will be used for practices and warm-ups while the other will be used for competition.
