Panchmahal (Lok Sabha constituency)

Panchmahal Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 26 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Gujarat state in western India. This constituency came into existence as a part of the implementation of delimitation of parliamentary constituencies in 2008. This constituency comprises five of the seven assembly segments of erstwhile Godhra constituency.
[edit] Assembly segments
Presently, Panchmahal Lok Sabha constituency comprises seven Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) segments. These are[1]:
- Thasra
- Balasinor
- Lunawada
- Shehra
- Morva Hadaf
- Godhra
- Kalol
Five assembly segments - Balasinor, Lunawada, Shehra, Godhra and Kalol were earlier part of erstwhile Godhra constituency. Thasra was part of erstwhile Kaira constituency. Morva Hadaf was also created in 2008 as a part of the implementation of delimitation of assembly constituencies.
