The Hazrat Panjetan-e-Pak are the five purified holy personalities that together are the Founding Islamic Family.
The Five Purified ones are:
- The prophet Mohammad
- Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib
- Syeda Fatima az-Zehra
- Imam Hasan ibn Ali
- Imam Hussain ibn Ali
Contrary to some contemporary beliefs, the Hazrat Panjetan-e-Pak are revered by both Sunni and Shia Muslims alike.
A key event is that of Mubahila: Here it was famous quote 'If Mohammad will not go to the mountain then the mountain will come to him.' was uttered by the Bishop of Najran when the Prophet brought only his own family to challenge the Christians of that region. Hence the Christians decided not to engage in the Imprecation to decide whether their beliefs were correct or that of the household of Muhammad.
