Papercut is a lending library in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Its collection of over 14,000 circulating materials focuses mainly on independently published zines, also known as fanzines.
Papercut was started in 2005 by a collective of volunteers. It was originally housed in The Democracy Center in Harvard Square, later moved to a warehouse loft location in Somerville, and now resides within Lorem Ipsum Books in Cambridge, MA.
In addition to providing a space for zines, Papercut also hosts a range of events such as acoustic shows, workshops, and gallery space for local artists.
Anyone can donate a zine to be shared at the library, and anyone can become a member by visiting.
