Parkhill Junior School is a primary school located in Clayhall, Ilford in the London Borough of Redbridge. The school is a county Junior co-educational school catering for 450 pupils of 7–11 years of age in the London Borough of Redbridge.

History[edit]

The school values its place as an integral part of the multicultural community being situated in the Clayhall area. It is housed in a one-storey building, which was first opened in 1939. It has 16 general teaching rooms, a music room and a large hall, an I.C.T. suite and a newly built library which has a group room and a bank of 8 new computers. The site is shared with the Infants School and there are extensive grounds. The Headteacher is currently Mrs Denise Hughes-Mulhall.

Awards[edit]

The School has received many awards, Such as the Football awards and the 2006 & 2007's Healthy Schools awards. It has been given the Walk to School awards in 2007.
