Parori (Greek: Παρόρι, older name: Παρωρία - Paroria) is a settlement and an ancient city in the municipal unit of Korythio north of Steno, Arcadia, Greece. As of 2001, it had a population of 37 and sits at 720 m above sea level. The Mainalo mountains are 6 km to the east and the Ktenia to the east and its municipal boundary with Tripoli is to the west and Mantineia further north.

4 km to the west is the new GR-7/E65 (Corinth - Tripoli - Kalamata) and the GR-33 (Patras - Tripoli) superhighway (also a bypass) and it has no interchange, it is accessible with the Tripoli interchange to the south and Vytina Interchange further north. The old road is to the south
Paroria is 6 km northwest of Tripoli about 170 km (old: 215 km) west of Athens, about 135 km southeast of Patras, 80 km north of Sparta and about 94 km northeast of Kalamata.
[edit] Geography and history
The origin of the name dates back to the ancient times as an ancient settlement. Pausanias wrote that it was founded by Paroreus, who was the youngest son of Trikolonas and a relative of Lycaon. It was located 10 stadia from Zoitia and when Pausanias visited the area it was entirely ruined. Near Paroria had other cities including Thyraio and Hypsous which were founded and those were abandoned except for Hypsous later[1]
