Paschim Punropara is a census town in Murshidabad district in the Indian state of West Bengal.

Demographics[edit]

As of 2001 India census,[2] Paschim Punropara had a population of 31,198. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Paschim Punropara has an average literacy rate of 35%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 44%, and female literacy is 25%. In Paschim Punropara, 22% of the population is under 6 years of age.
