Patch (formerly, Weedpatch) is an unincorporated community in Kern County, California. It is located on the railroad 10 miles (16 km) southeast of Bakersfield, at an elevation of 420 feet (128 m).
The place was originally called Weedpatch, but the name was shortened by the railroad.
