Paul Hunter is a music video director known for his high-budget, visually distinctive videos for popular music singles.[citation needed] He has directed over 100 music videos, many television advertisements and was nominated for an Emmy for Nike's Freestyle commercial[1]
A native Californian, Hunter majored in Radio, TV, and Film at Cal State Northridge. His career began working on sets and shooting spec commercials.
Hunter has worked with musical artists including Snoop Dogg, Aaliyah, Jennifer Lopez, Lenny Kravitz, Christina Aguilera, Eminem, Ashanti, Marilyn Manson, Mariah Carey, Will Smith, TLC, Nicole Scherzinger, Britney Spears, Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson.
Hunter made his feature length directorial debut with Bulletproof Monk for MGM, starring Chow Yun Fat and Seann William Scott.[2]
Hunter directed the music video of Michael Jackson's come-back single, 'You Rock My World'. He directed the multiple award-winning "Lady Marmalade" video for the soundtrack to the film Moulin Rouge! (2001).[2]
