Paul Johnson (born 26 June 1984) is an Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League (AFL).
He was drafted by West Coast at number 24 in the 2002 AFL Draft, but played only one game in two seasons with the Eagles.
The ruckman was traded to Melbourne at the end of 2004in exchange for draft pick number 29, which West Coast used to select Matt Rosa.
Paul won the Victorian Football League (VFL) J. J. Liston Trophy in 2005 whilst playing with then Demons reserves side Sandringham. He also played a part in the Zebras' 2005 Premiership side.
Johnson had a relatively successful year in 2009, playing 18 out of 22 games for Melbourne. in 2010 he played 8 games for Melbourne and was delisted at the end of the 2010 season.
He was thrown a lifeline by Hawthorn and was be a member of the Hawks' rookie list for the 2011 season, playing just one senior game for the Hawks in the final round against Gold Coast with many senior players being rested. Johnson was delisted at the end of the season and nominated for the pre-season draft in the hope of playing for a fourth AFL club in 2012.
