Paul Murray is a former editor of The West Australian newspaper who was later retained to write opinion articles for the same newspaper. On leaving 'the West', he acted as a morning presenter for six years on a Perth commercial radio station, 6PR, before leaving over a contract-renewal disagreement. He then returned to press writing. He was educated at Guildford Grammar School.
