Pavilions is a grocery store banner used by Vons, a supermarket division of Safeway Inc. in Southern California. Although similar to Vons stores, Pavilions markets are more upscale and feature a larger selection of organic food, wine, and other speciality foods.
The stores also tend to be larger than the typical Vons store, because many of them contain full-service pharmacies as a standard feature.[1]
[edit] History
The first location opened in 1985 in Garden Grove.[2] The chain now consists of nearly three dozen locations, which are all in Southern California.[3]
