Pavana river (Pavna) is situated in the west of Maharashtra state, in the Pune District. It originates in the Western ghats. It is a tributary of Bhima river and merges in the Mula river in Pune city. It flows through Pune city and divides Pune City and Pimpri Chinchwad area. A dam is built on this river at Pavananagar called as the Pavananagar dam.
