Pawnee Lake State Recreation Area
Pawnee Lake State Recreation Area (Pawnee Lake SRA) is the second largest of the Salt Valley Lakes.
The lake (technically a reservoir, since it was created by the damming of Middle Creek) itself is 740 acres (3.0 km2), while the park itself is 1,800 acres (7.3 km2).
Pawnee Lake is located near Lincoln, Nebraska.
In more recent years, swimming has been prohibited at times because of toxic algae.
