Pearl Continental Hotel in Karachi

Pearl-Continental Hotels & Resorts, often abbreviated, PC, is an upper-end 4-star hotel chain in Pakistan. The chain has properties in Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Gwadar, Bhurban, and Muzaffarabad with new hotels coming up in Mirpur, and Multan.

The Pearl-Continental Hotel in Karachi was the first-ever five-star Intercontinental Hotel in Pakistan, and has hosted Queen Elizabeth II, Nelson Mandela, King Hussain, and other world leaders and royalty. It is known for its classic luxury and an array of restaurants including Sakura serving authentic Japanese food on the hotel's top floor, which has views of downtown Karachi. The same property was part of the prestigious Leading Hotels of the World club for over a decade.

The hotels are owned and operated by Hashoo Group, one of the largest business houses in Pakistan. The group also owns Marriott hotels in Karachi and Islamabad, and Hotel One, a chain of budget-hotels in Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Multan, Murree and Bahawalpur.

In 2009 the Peshawar hotel was bombed by Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan.
