Pedro Mairata Gual (born 15 January 1979 in Manacor, Balearic Islands) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Gimnàstic de Tarragona of the Spanish second division, as a central defender.
[edit] Football career
Until the age of 26, Mairata played in the Spanish third division or lower, representing local CD Constancia, UD Las Palmas and Levante UD B. In 2005, he signed for Basque outfit SD Eibar in the second level, being regularly used but suffering relegation: even though the club produced the 9th-best defensive record in the league (45 goals in 42 matches), it ranked last.
After one year with UD Almería in the same division (contributing with 15 games to the Andalusia side's first ever La Liga promotion), Mairata signed for Gimnàstic de Tarragona, also in the "silver category".
