Pelican Flight Training Center (Pelican Airways) is a private, FAA Part-141 flight school located at the North Perry Airport in Pembroke Pines, Florida USA.[1] Founded in 1985 in Tamiami,[2] then later moved to Pembroke Pines, Pelican Airways has gone from being a charter airline to specializing in flight training.
Its focus area was Indian students, until 2008 when Pelican contracted with North European Aviation Resources for the training of European students. After this contract was transferred to its successor North European Institute of Aviation, and the subsequent demise of that company, Pelican Flight Training has estalished a European program in cooperation with the Riga Aeronautical Institute.[3]
