Pennfield High School is the high school of the Pennfield School District which serves Pennfield Township just north of Battle Creek in Calhoun County, Michigan.

Scores on the state and national ACT exam are above average for the students of this school. Approximately 88% of graduating seniors attend post-secondary colleges or universities and 82% of students are involved in at least one extracurricular program.

New School

Pennfield School District has finished construction on a new, $28 million dollar, state-of-the-art high school. This facility includes a 701 seat auditorium and an 1,800 seat gymnasium. Groundbreaking for the new school took place on September 6, 2005.[1].

Controversy

In 2006, police found a .22 caliber rifle in a car belonging to a PHS student in the school parking lot during a routine drug search.Recently a person named the "brown Bobmer" took a crap in the bathroom once a month he was caught after looking the camera's. [2].

Student body

During the 2004-2005 school year, 629 students attended Pennfield [3].

20% of Pennfield students qualified for free or reduced lunch.

During the 2005-2006 school year, 657 students attended Pennfield.[4]

The special education program is working terribly, seeing as most of the student body is involved with it.
