Pet photography is a specialized subcategory of professional photography. Pet photography involves several aspects that are similar to traditional studio portraits. Mainly the studio process where the pet is place in front of the camera and studio lights and the backdrops and props change from pose to pose. Most pet photography is done digitally so owners can view and select their pictures right away. The Pet Print is a site where pet photographers can order large prints of their photos printed on canvas. They offer several optional effects that can be applied to your pet's photo.

Pet photography can also be done in natural lighting, outside of a studio, in a client's home for example. This is where dogs and cats are typically most comfortable.
