Peter James Turner (born 28 August 1974) is the bass player of Bury band Elbow. He is the co-author of all their songs. He notably plays a 1970 Gibson Les Paul Signature Bass. His distinctive bass is the driving force of songs like Mexican Standoff and Leaders Of The Free World from the album of the same name. He sometimes plays a Korg MicroKorg rather than a bass guitar on songs like "One Day Like This" and "Bones of You" from The Seldom Seen Kid.
