Peter Neil Temple Wells CBE DSc FREng FMedSci FIET FInstP FLSW FRS (born 1936 in Bristol, England) is a British medical physicist who played a major role in the application of ultrasound technology in medicine.
Educated at Birmingham College of Advanced Technology (now Aston University), he is an Emeritus Professor of the Department of Clinical Medicine at Bristol University and was awarded the Duddell Medal and Prize in 2006.[1]
Wells was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 2009 New Year Honours.[2] He is also a Founding Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales.
