[edit] Recent Revival

Recently Peter Combe has started playing overage pub gigs around Australia aimed at young adults who grew up listening to his music.[1] A clip of the live performance his song Mr. Clickety Cane at the Corner Hotel in Melbourne is available on Combe's Myspace Page showing a crowd of young adults singing along to lyrics such as "Wash your face in orange Juice", and "Belly flop on a pizza? Ewww!". The live DVD/CD Live at Jive was recorded in 2008 at one of these shows.

[edit] Black Swan

A career highlight occurred during early 2008 when Combe's music was considered as for the psychological thriller, Black Swan. The opportunity arose after producers had struggled to acquire copyright permission from the Tchaikovsky estate. Such was his involvment in the pre-production process, that Mila Kunis is quoted as saying 'he smells wonderful!'. Pirated versions of the film can be found containing Combe's music, however the studio distanced themselves from him after the Tchaikovsky estate finally agreed to terms. The Black Swan versions of both 'Mr Clickety Cane' and 'Newspaper Mama' can be found on iTunes.
