Philip Scanlon (born 19 May 1976, England) is a former bassist in the Scottish rock group Idlewild. He was replaced by Bob Fairfoull who remained in the band until 2002. The band's current bassist is Gareth Russell.[1]
He now works as a chemical engineer, and lives outside of San Francisco, California, US, with his wife and two sons.
